How do I generate AI subtitles?

1. Sign up and log in.
2. Upload your MP4 video (€0.10 per minute).
3. Receive a video with 'burnt in' subtitles plus an SRT file. Processing typically takes appr. 4 to 5 times the video length, depending on the complexity of the dialogue. SRT will be ready first, hardcoded video will take a little longer.
4. If you would like to edit the generated subtitles, import the SRT file into any text editor. Be careful not to make mistakes in the time codes or create too long sentences. Save your changes (text format UTF8). Here are guidelines: post-editing
5. Now go back to 'My Videos' and upload your newly edited SRT. The process of a new hardcoded video (1080p) will be underway (the previous video will be overwritten). You can upload an SRT (twice) free of charge.

You can pick between full-text and reading-speed-optimised subtitles. Full-text subtitles include almost all the text in the video, while reading-speed-optimised subtitles are adjusted to ensure viewers can read at a comfortable pace, resulting in less text. Read more here.

Languages

We currently support English, Dutch, Swedish, Spanish, French, German, Italian and Portuguese. Vice versa. As for Chinese, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Russian and Thai, we support these as target language. Not transcription or translation from these languages. 

New languages will be available soon. In the meantime, you can submit a ticket or use any translation software to convert our SRT file. This file is optimised to meet international TV broadcast and streaming platform standards, making it ideal for translation into other languages.
